Problem Note 43603: Your SAS® System fails to start on the Windows 7 operating system
When you select Start ► Programs ► SAS ► SAS 9.2 (English) on the Windows 7 operating system, the following Microsoft Windows error occurs:

This is a known issue with the Xerox Phaser printer drivers on the Windows 7 operating system. The Xerox Phaser printer driver generates an exception that SAS is unable to handle.
This issue will be addressed in a future release of SAS.
To work around the problem, remove the existing Xerox Phaser printer driver and install the Xerox Global Print Driver.
Another workaround is to use the default printer for the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system, Microsoft XPS Document Writer.
